ONLINE PIANO AND VOICE LESSONS
Now you can learn keys or vocals from an industry professional from anywhere in the world (without even changing out of your pajamas!).
Emily has toured the world as a keyboard player and background vocalist, performed on TV shows like The Tonight Show, Good Morning America and Ellen, and played/sung on many studio recordings throughout the years (her favorite being "Forever Young" for Disneyland, CA). Her credits include Demi Lovato, Christina Perri, Miley Cyrus, Mike Posner, All American Rejects, Brynn Elliott and Victoria Justice. In 2009 her band, Ballas Hough Band, signed a deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records.
Emily has taught students privately for many years in classical and pop piano, keys, vocals and music theory. Some of her previous clients include Sony and Island Records recording artists, working both one-to-one and in the rehearsal studio as a vocal director. Emily has also taught individual voice at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy College and Conservatory (AMDA), as well as various schools in the London, Los Angeles and Nashville areas.
Having spent so many years on the road, Emily understands what it takes to be a successful recording artist at this time in the industry. She believes that good vocal technique is often neglected, which causes vocal fatigue, damage and even nodules, leading to cancelled shows and shortened careers. Emily’s main goal with each student is to build a full understanding of the voice as an instrument, and to use this knowledge to develop a strong and sustainable voice.
Fee: $120/hour, or $100/hour for weekly students. 30 minute lessons also available.

IN-PERSON PIANO AND VOICE LESSONS
(Currently serving Ventura, Los Angeles and London)
Due to COVID-19, Emily is currently teaching all students online only. Spots for in-person Ventura and Los Angeles based students will become available in 2021.
A few times a year, Emily visits the Greater London Area and has very small number of in person lesson spots available only during those times.
Fee: $120/hour, or $100/hour for weekly students. 30 minute lessons also available.

VIDEO CRITIQUES
If you’re looking for some feedback and guidance without weekly lessons, Emily is now taking online video critiques. Simply email a video (or audio file) to Emily and receive a detailed response with feedback, areas to work on and some exercises to help you along the way.
